Knecht Electrical Estimating provides professional remote electrical estimating, preconstruction, and consulting support across the United States. We primarily serve electrical contractors, but we also work with general contractors, construction managers, independent estimating firms, design professionals, owners’ representatives, property owners, facility managers, and other construction professionals who need specialized expertise in electrical cost and scope.
Each engagement is tailored to the client’s needs, the available project information, and the intended use. Services may be provided individually or combined into a customized estimating package. The approved scope, deliverables, fees, responsibilities, and limitations are documented in a written service proposal before work begins.

Knecht Electrical Estimating provides construction professionals nationwide with practical, field-informed electrical estimating and preconstruction support backed by more than 10 years of electrical construction experience and the expertise of a licensed Texas Master Electrician.
My estimating approach is built around more than what appears on the drawings. I understand the realities that can affect electrical work in the field—including labor inefficiencies, schedule constraints, material and equipment backorders, fluctuating supplier costs, coordination challenges, and unforeseen installation conditions. That experience allows me to develop estimates that reflect real-world construction conditions rather than relying on quantities and plan information alone.
As an electrical construction instructor at Texas State Technical College, I remain actively engaged with evolving industry practices, workforce challenges, construction technology, and changing installation methods. I also consider economic conditions, project requirements, market pressures, and other factors that may influence labor, material, equipment, and overall project costs.
